If you sit for pooja, path or meditation every morning, a thin cloth on a cold marble floor gets uncomfortable within minutes. Elders in the family feel it the most. We added cushioned aasans and a janamaz after many customers asked for something softer for the knees and steady on the floor.

Square or round pooja aasan

Both our aasans are 24×24 inches with a soft velvet top and jute filling, so you sit a little higher off a cold floor. The square aasan is easier for cross-legged sitting and meditation. The round aasan looks neater in front of a home mandir.

Both come in Blue, Coffee and Mehroon. Mehroon is the most popular for pooja rooms.

Janamaz for namaz

Our janamaz is 2.4×4 feet, long enough for standing, ruku and sajda. It has a premium chenille top, plush cushioning with jute filling, and an anti-slip back so it stays in place on tiles and marble. Colours: Blue, Coffee and Mehroon.

Tip from our team: For daily use, fold the janamaz instead of rolling it tight. The cushioning stays even and the edges don't curl.

Keeping it clean

  • Shake it out or vacuum it lightly every week.
  • Wipe small spots with a damp cloth and mild soap.
  • Dry it in the shade. Strong sun can fade velvet and chenille.
  • Keep it in a cloth bag or a dedicated shelf so it stays clean for prayer.
